The Travel and Tourism industry is an ever changing, demanding set of businesses that requires qualified, passionate and energetic candidates. The program of Travel and Tourism Management is designed to offer the industry such candidates since it covers all aspects of work in the industry. The program is student – centered at its core; this active participation of students ensure the educational outcome desired. It provides students with an in-depth understanding of issues associated with management and organizational aspects of the travel and tourism together with basic principles that support the industry.

  • To guide the student to a professional area that would be interesting and appealing to him/her as a future career.
  • To prepare the students to take up leading positions in the Travel & Tourism Industry worldwide as well as run their own business profitably in sectors like travel agencies, tour operation, air transportation, attraction and heritage and hospitality among other.
  • To equip graduates with a solid academic, technological, and intellectual background for academic and/or career advancements.
  • To provide students with a solid foundation of management skills, marketing and sales, strategy, human resource management, finance, operations, information technology, presentation and communication set firmly in a travel and tourism context.
  • To help students, develop their critical thinking and refine their analytical and decision-making skills.
  • To provide students with a solid understanding of the travel and tourism industry and its products and apply a variety of organizational concepts to the tourism industry.
  • To provide a broad view of tourism and the opportunity to explore issues and problems relevant to a wide range of situations and aspects likely to be faced by managers in the industry.
  • To give students the opportunity to explore tourism policy and planning issues and the contribution of tourism for the sustainable development of a tourist area.
  1. Candidates must present a secondary education leaving certificate (apolyterion) or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Candidates need to show Proof of English language through an external examination or take the Placement Test provided for admission. 

A system of continuous (course work) which is 50% and final Exams which is 50% and the Passing mark is 50%, as follows:

  • During the semester, the instructor evaluates the students through a) Course Work which consists of: Tests, assignments, individual or group project, mid-term exams and / or other tests. The average of the scores is the continuous assessment score.
  • The final examination is carried out at the end of the semester.
  • The Passing mark is: 50%
