The Travel and Tourism industry is an ever changing, demanding set of businesses that requires qualified, passionate and energetic candidates. The program of Travel and Tourism Administration is designed to offer the industry such candidates since it covers all aspects of work in the industry. The program is student-centred at its core; this active participation of students ensures the educational outcome desired. It provides students with an in-depth understanding of issues associated with the organizational aspects of the travel and tourism together with basic principles that support the industry. The aim of the program is to aid students in developing skills and knowledge in the Travel and Tourism sector and specifically the design, creation and application of tourism products and their marketing and sale nationally and internationally.

  • To provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs and demands of the demanding Travel and Tourism sector through a stimulating learning environment with the employment of different educational methods.
  • To increase students’ cultural awareness and sense of predicting on how different sociological characteristics and ethics would lead to different reactions of customers, suppliers and other associates for travel products and destinations.
  • To provide students with the skills needed to use a computerized reservation system.
  • To explain to students how each part of legislation can affect the planning and operation of a travel and tourism organization.
  • To enhance practical skills (manual and technological) necessary for the Travel and Tourism sector.
  • To introduce students to the various approaches of planning in different levels (community, national, international) and the proper development of the tourism industry.
  • To embed to students, the essence and importance of business ethics in their dealings with customers, suppliers and other associates.
  • To optimize students’ knowledge on helping customers, make recommendations for different travel products and services and solve problematic situations.

 

The criteria for admission to the College are as follows:

  • A recognized Secondary School Leaving Certificate 
  • Proof of English language

A system of continuous (course work) which is 40% and final Exams which is 60% and the Passing mark is 50%.
