The program seeks to prepare students to obtain the necessary technical skills both in terms of hardware and software and get basic understanding to assist a small to medium company to carry out its day-to-day information related activities and do rudimentary planning on what is needed. The ICT Diploma requires a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and there are no other in-between titles.

The aim of the program is to prepare the student to have the technical skills both in terms of hardware and software and basic understanding to assist a small to medium company to carry out its day-to-day information related activities and do rudimentary planning on what is needed.

In addition to skills training, the curriculum concentrates on providing the student with an awareness of the common problems in ICT and the means to and deal with them efficiency. Furthermore, the programme offers the student an opportunity to develop the capacity to think and plan ahead and the ability to act on his/her own and take decisions both at personal and employer level.

  • Problem resolution skills: Use the technology competently to solve problems of information and communication character in a small or medium company.
  • Technical/Technician competency: Install, configure, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of hardware and software systems.
  • Technological adaptability: Cope competently with the changing technologies of the profession and adapt comfortably in the rapidly changing professional environment.
  • Organization’s Maintenance: To be able to employ system integration techniques for installing and maintaining IT systems of the organization.
  • Candidates must present a secondary education leaving certificate (apolyterion) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates need to show Proof of English language through an external examination or take the Placement Test provided for admission. 

A system of continuous (course work) which is 40% and final Exams which is 60% and the Passing mark is 50%, as follows:

  • During the semester, the instructor evaluates the students through a) Course Work which consists of: Tests, assignments, individual or group project, mid-term exams and / or other tests. The average of the scores is the continuous assessment score.
  • The final examination is carried out at the end of the semester.
  • The Passing mark is: 50%
