ICT Skills for Educators in order to achieve the digital transformation of VET Schools

From April 27 to May 8, 2024, C.D.A. College in Larnaca, Cyprus, proudly hosted an impactful Erasmus+ project titled “ICT Skills for Educators in order to achieve the digital transformation of VET Schools.” This project brought together teaching staff from Vocational upper secondary school Mouzakiou, immersing them in a forward-thinking training program designed to enhance their digital competencies in the educational sector.

Innovative Learning for a Digital Era

Under the guidance of expert lecturers Dr. Andreas Tofaris, Christina Agathangelou, Panayiotis Tofi, and Demetris Melides, participants delved into critical aspects of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration within educational frameworks. The training was meticulously structured to equip educators with the tools and knowledge necessary to lead the digital transformation in Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools.

Fundamental Approaches to Effective ICT Integration

Educators were introduced to essential strategies designed to enhance teaching and learning processes, making education more accessible, engaging, and effective.

ChatGPT in Education

his session explored the applications of ChatGPT, a powerful AI tool, in educational settings. Participants learned how ChatGPT could be utilized to create engaging content, facilitate personalized learning, and enhance interactions between students and teachers.

Digital Safety

Focusing on protecting individuals online, especially within educational environments, this module covered a wide range of practices, principles, and policies aimed at ensuring digital security.
